Message to Substack: My posts are always free

You will never need a subscription to access my posts for as long as I am alive

Hello, everyone.

I want to make a solemn vow to the Substack community, including fellow writers, readers, administrators, and others I may have forgotten to mention.

My posts will always be subscription-free and open to the public. If information posted on Substack is considered educational, then I believe that education should be free.

My writings on a solution to end gun violence are a long shot, I know. That is fine. Since I am financially independent and institutionally unaffiliated for the rest of my working life, I will pursue that goal single-mindedly and with a dedication of purpose.

If I pursue this initiative for the next twenty years, from age fifty to seventy, into retirement, it may be pretty interesting how things turn out. If—good Lord—the Nobel Peace Prize is out there, waiting for me, because of my efforts, well then, “seek and ye shall find.”

Then again, I may labor in obscurity for the rest of my life. But then they say that the seeking counts more than the finding. And that is true, too.

Best wishes from Substack,

Jason “J.J.” Park
