Definition of a mass shooter

Using the "M-A-O" theoretical framework to build that definition

Republicans say, “Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.” Mental illness is the problem.

Democrats say, “Guns are the instruments of death!” Easy access to guns is the problem.

Centrists say, “Gun violence undermines public safety.” Absent law enforcement is the problem.

Criminology teaches us that a criminal needs: (1) motivation (2) ability (3) opportunity.

If all of this is true, then a mass shooter is:

(1) A homicidal maniac who…

(2) …brandishes a loaded pistol and…

(3) …eludes the police.

Mass shooters need (1) mental illness (2) easy access to guns (3) absent law enforcement.

Simple as that.
